A Guide to BodySculpting

Cool Blue Image

Many people often store unwanted fat in places that are resistant to diet and exercise, such as the arms, abdomen, flanks, thighs and buttocks. Some people sustain injuries that keep them from maintaining the body type they would like. Others simply have a difficult time burning fat. Whatever the reason, BodySculpting is here to help.

Cool Blue Image’s skilled nurse uses several techniques including fat cell freezing, radiofrequency cavitation, muscle toning and increasing metabolism to reduce unwanted fat.

Surgical methods of fat reduction can involve pain, scarring, risk of infection and extensive recovery time. Our procedures are non-invasive, meaning the skin and tissue are never cut. This makes for highly effective treatments which keep you safe from infection, scarring and extensive recovery downtime.

What is Body Sculpting?

Body sculpting uses a combination of fat-freezing technology, radiofrequency, muscle toning and skin tightening to help you sculpt and tone your body. Our treatments are effective on the following areas:

• Abdomen
• Thighs
• Jawline
• Under the chin
• Upper arms
• Upper and Lower back
• Flanks
• Under the buttocks

Benefits of BodySculpting

  • Non-invasive
All of our treatments are non-invasive, meaning they do not require any cuts being made to the skin.
  • Permanent results
Even with a healthy lifestyle, some bodies have stubborn fat areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise. Diet and exercise decrease the amount of fat stored in cells, which can increase again over time. Our treatments kill the entire fat cells, making it impossible for them to store fat and enlarge again.
  • Safe
Because there are no cuts being made in the skin and no chemicals being introduced to the body, there are very limited side effects with BodySculpting when compared to other methods of aesthetic fat reduction.
  • Time Effective
The BodySculpting procedures take from 1-3 hours, depending on your chosen treatment(s).
  • Little to no recovery time
There is very little post-treatment discomfort associated with our procedures. Patients can experience short lived skin redness or mild swelling that is typically gone within hours. Less common reactions can include short term itching, bruising or skin irritation. Most patients are back to their daily activities the same day of the procedure.

What are the BodySculpting treatment options?

Cryoliposis- A soothing skin protection layer will be placed on the area being treated, followed by an applicator that will target and freeze fat cells. You’ll feel an adhering sensation from the applicator which will feel like pinching, followed by our signature cooling effect. During the procedure the treated area will gradually become numb as the cooling effect takes place. After the procedure the treated area will be massaged to break up the frozen dead fat cells, making them easier for the lymphatic system to remove.

6D Green Light Laser Lipo- A 6 dimensional green light laser therapy machine is strategically placed over your body to achieve full body fat reduction. This treatment targets the subcutaneous fat layer. Laser wavelengths reach into the mitochondria of the cells and start a chemical process to increase your metabolism.

Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation- Paddles that use EMS technology are placed on the treatment area(s). This triggers highly effective supramaximal contractions in areas of the body that are targeted. This mimics the muscle contractions you would experience while doing sit-ups, crunches, or squats. With EMS technology, the focused muscle is activated every 3-5 seconds. That’s the equivalent of a doing full sit-up, crunch or squat every 3-5 seconds, all while you relax as the machine does the work. There is no post-treatment muscle soreness that you would experience from exercising, as the treatment does not cause a build up of lactic acid in the muscle tissue.

Radiofrequency Cavitation- RF Cavitation is a process that destroys subcutaneous fat cells. The handheld radiofrequency device causes tiny bubbles to form around the targeted fat cells, which then pop and cause the fat cells to rupture and die. This is done with a simultaneous warming treatment which heats the tissue to promote collagen production and tighten the skin.

Is BodySculpting right for me?

BodySculpting is highly effective for many people, though there are some who may not see the benefits. BodySculpting treatments are not recommended for people with obesity, as our treatments are not designed to remove fat cells of that volume. People with conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria (PCH), and cold agglutinin disease are also not recommended to use BodySculping treatments. A healthy lifestyle after your treatment is recommended to maintain your BodySculpting results. While the fat cells that are killed during your treatment cannot return, new fat cells can grow in their place if a healthy lifestyle is not maintained. Eating well and exercising regularly is the best way to continue enjoying your results. Call today for a free phone consultation to see if BodySculpting is right for you.
